We are currently looking for a Quality Control Operator to join our Factory in Steeton (West Yorkshire, UK).

As a Quality Control Operator, you’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing process, ensuring every stairlift component meets the highest standards set by our Quality Control Manager. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and precision are key.

Salary: £12.45 per hour + Shift bonus

Type of contract: Full time, Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday – 2.00pm - 10.30pm

Key duties/responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of product quality by meticulously inspecting all elements, including bends, carriages, and performing necessary chemical checks to ensure compliance with standards.
  • To carry out measurements with precision tools, working to small tolerances
  • Measuring and recording of incoming parts from suppliers and outgoing products
  • Complete detailed work sheets, participate in regular audits, and generate quality reports with a high level of accuracy.
  • Effectively communicate critical quality-related information across all levels of the organization, ensuring clarity, timeliness, and relevance.
  • Compile and record information/data using quality control check sheets, and communicating quickly any out of control processes

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a manufacturing role with a focus on quality
  • Forklife Truck (FLT) Licence is advantageous
  • Must be conscientious and thorough person with a proven track record
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Be able to work to an extremely high quality standard
  • Familiarity with quality tools, jigs, and working from technical drawings
